- Prevent scratches by not dragging objects across the surface, as this can harm the sealer.
- Protect from heat by not placing hot cookware or plates directly on the surface. Such actions can expand the material, allowing dirt and water to infiltrate and damage the sealer. Using placemats and coasters is recommended.
- Sealant upkeep may be necessary over time to maintain the protective layer.
Cleaning Instructions
For everyday cleaning and maintenance:
- Use a soft cloth or paper towel for wiping. Avoid using harsh scrubbing tools.
- Clean with warm water or a mild detergent to remove spills and messes effectively.
- Be especially cautious around hot areas such as BBQ spaces or cooktops. Concrete can expand when heated, so it’s crucial to clean spills immediately to prevent surface penetration and staining.
